I am waiting for some answers! Me, too! |
1. What has happened to the big trees in the
whole area around the Children's Forest in the last 20 years? How has cutting down these
forests effected the creatures that depend on them? 2. What has the Oregon Department of Forestry done with the forests it takes care of in this area over the last 20 years? How many of their old growth trees has it cut and how has that effected the animals that lived there? 3. How many of the gentle giant trees of the Children's Forest does the Oregon Department of Forestry plan to cut? How big are they? How old are they? What effect will this have on the goshawks and pileated woodpeckers and the other creatures that live there? 4. What plans does the Oregon Department of Forestry have to save the old growth forest it takes care of? 5. How is putting a no cut zone of 1.6 acres around the northern goshawk nest going to do any good? Don't you think that the Oregon Department of Forestry should answer these questions before it cuts down some of its last giant trees? |
