We have come to Jerusalem, a city sacred to Moslems, Jews and Christians in order to reflect on the resurrection of Jesus. Were his resurrection appearances purely subjective events, no more than visions generated by the longings of his disciples, heart-sick over their loss, or did these appearances come to real people in real space and time? Only faith can give the final answer to these questions, but visits to the major sites of the resurrection appearances can point us in the right direction.
